Uh oh. You just got a new Wi-Fi Camera (congratulations by the way, you’ll love it) and halfway through the mobile app install wizard on mydlink Lite you’ve realized your router does not support WPS! Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered. Let’s walk through the setup starting at the “Is there a WPS button on your Wi-Fi router?” screen:

For this example we are using the new Full HD Ultra Wide View Wi-Fi Camera (DCS-2630L).

Step 1

When asked if there’s a WPS button on your Wi-Fi router, select ‘No’

Step 2

Select ‘Ready’ when the Power LED on the back of the camera blinks orange.

Step 3

Now enter your camera’s Wi-Fi Network and Password which can be found on the device, the quick install card or on the box.

Step 4

The app will automatically disconnect from your mobile device’s Wi-Fi and connect to the DCS-2630L Wi-Fi network.

Step 5

Once connection has been made, the app will ask you to connect to your local Wi-Fi network again-the one you plan to have your Wi-Fi Camera connected to.

Step 6

Once connected (and this can take a bit, depending on your Wi-Fi strength), you will be asked to set a password for your Wi-Fi camera.

Step 7

The app will then automatically sync your camera’s settings with your mobile.

Step 8

You will then be asked if you want to add your Wi-Fi Camera to your mydlink account. If you want to access your camera remotely (not on the same Wi-Fi network as your camera), select ‘Yes’.

Step 9

Start monitoring!
